Who is responsible

The data controller is Global Marine Partners B.V., established in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. You can reach us with any question about this notice or your personal data at the address below.

What personal data we process

This website has no accounts, no contact form, no analytics and no advertising. The personal data we process is limited to:

• E-mail enquiries: your name, e-mail address, the content of your message and any attachments you choose to send.
• Technical data: when you load a page, the hosting infrastructure records your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time in standard server logs.
• Language preference: one functional cookie stores the language you chose. It contains no personal data.

Why we process it and on what legal basis

We use personal data only for the following purposes:

• To answer your enquiry and, if we agree to work together, to prepare and perform that engagement — necessary for steps prior to entering into a contract, or for its performance (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To keep the website secure, detect abuse and diagnose faults using server logs — our legitimate interest in operating a safe and reliable website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• To comply with legal obligations, such as retention duties under Dutch tax and commercial law (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

How long we keep it

We keep personal data no longer than necessary for the purpose it was collected for. E-mail correspondence is kept while the enquiry or engagement is active and afterwards only for as long as a statutory retention period requires. Server logs are kept for a short, fixed period for security purposes and then deleted.

Who receives it

We do not sell personal data and do not share it for marketing. It is processed on our behalf by the service providers that host this website and our e-mail, under data processing agreements that bind them to act only on our instructions. We disclose personal data to authorities only where the law requires it.

Transfers outside the EEA

Our hosting and e-mail providers may process data on infrastructure outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission or by the Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Where we correspond with clients or partners in the Republic of Korea, that country is recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection.

Cookies

This website sets one functional cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) that remembers the language you chose, and stores a note in your browser once you have dismissed the cookie notice. Neither is used to track you. Details are in the cookie policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
• have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed;
• have your data erased where there is no longer a reason to keep it;
• restrict, or object to, processing that is based on our legitimate interest;
• receive the data you provided to us in a portable format;
• withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting processing that took place before.

How to exercise them

Send your request by e-mail to the address above. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on it. We respond within one month; if a request is complex, we will tell you within that month if we need more time.

Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your personal data lawfully, we would like to hear from you first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) or with the supervisory authority of the EU member state where you live or work.

Security

This website is served only over HTTPS, and we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send us information you consider highly sensitive by e-mail without contacting us first.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice, for example when the website or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Substantial changes will be announced on this page.
